how you feel about that?

As an admitted iPod fanatic, I think you have a very good reason for not getting one. I know if I drove rather than take public transportation, I would get almost no use out of it.

mmm, I'm with you on the envy tip. I want one soo bad! But like K.Maria says if I had a car, I think my urge to splurge would be calmed a bit. But hey, don't forget we all deserve a treat everyonce in a while ;)

Don't get it. Really, resist the urge. It's just another useless expensive thing in my opinion.

it's saved me from the perils of subway noise this includes screetching trains along the tracks, random psychotics on their rants, and noisy ass kids who don't shut up. PLUS...u can buy it with your student discount...$30 bucks off...oh and downloading music for free - and even mac users like me can do it- means u end up saving way more money in the long run not having to buy CDs...unless of course u want to support okayplayers. ;) oh and btw, i did use a generic mp3 player for 2 years while i was at home and working - def. any mp3 player IMHO is better and safer for ur commute when u drive, u don't have to worry about switching cd's etc. u can get a remote that will help u navigate ur ipod! ;)

Well...here is the thing...I didn't want to say anything but this is what happened to me. I recieved a grant for student teaching and the first thing I did was but an iPod. I just couldn't resist. I am also planning on using some of the money to take off to Coachella. Woo Whoo! I cannot miss it this year!! See ya there!!

Don't listen to the naysayers..it is worth every penny! Can you imagine? 5000 songs!! Also, I meant to say "buy" not "but" an iPod.
