I envy you for having the ability to see Cafe Tacvba whenever you can! I saw them a few months ago in Austin and they tore it up. I took my gringo friend and I told him, 'You sooo can't mosh to their music, Cafe Tacvba is more artsy." Boy was I wrong. I saw Si*Se in 2001 and hung out with Carol C for a little bit. She told me she was working on her own drumn'bass compilation (that I never got!) and she was rather nice. Fuckin' love their stuff. David Byrne rules--we gotta thank this man for all the artists on his Lauka Bop label. Ever heared of Jim White? I'm quite the music nerdo. I think in a way we're all each other's groupies, at least I hope, you know we enjoy each other's blogs and reading about our ideas and thoughts. Hechale ganas! A Latina PHD!? Hell yes. I had this guy get mad at me once when I told him I didn't want a PHD and he told me, "We need more Latino PHDs." I so want to go back to school :( write on, C�sar

As for my peeps getting all upset about the billboard thing, don't get too worked up over it, my side means well. I'm working on them though, give me time. :-) On the other hand, as for your anger with the billboards advertising strip clubs, while I personally like them, you would find much more dislike by people on my side than people on your side. :-)

Oh yeah, and don't think I didn't notice your crush on a blogger. The tears in the blogosphere are barely drying up over our break up and you have already found yourself a new blogger. Sheesh.

meh. I'm definetly not anti-education, and by all means please get your PH.D (YaY for a latina phd) but get it when you feel it and not just to get it over with. You're only 24! And you've gone straight through school, no wonder you might be a little burned out. There's nothing wrong with taking time to work in your chosen profession. Be passionate about what you're getting your PH.D in. I mean realistically most people get experience before they even get their master's. So you're already way ahead of the curve. Just keep your options open, there's no harm in it ;) but that's just my humble opinion of course :P
