Reality does bite. I wish you and your family the best during this time of trial. The last couple of years I got used to similar calls by my dad.

My gram went in last year for a routine procedure that went horribly wrong. She spent the remainder (this happened in June) of 2004 in the hospital and a convalescent home. She is now home, but she isn't the same. Although she is still with us, it is as if I have lost her. Everyday I see her smile at me, I am reminded of my "Gramami" who in my youth was my biggest fan. Years later I pray that no one else loses their biggest fan. I hope your Grandma fares well.

Mi jefecita always tells me that if I am going to give her flowers to do it when she is alive. Que no quiere ya cuando muera. I have always taken that to heart and so I always try to enjoy life with my family to the fullest. Enjoy your abuelos ahorita que los tienes. Knowing how sweet of a girl you are, you probably have the greatest relationship with your abuelos.
