how you feel about that?

And yet, another great entry. You know, Gwen Zepeda, author of To the Last Man I Slept With and All the Jerks Just Like Him does this thing called "The 15era you were too poor to have." It's really cool too. Anyway, I didn't have a 15era, but I feel this way about a lot of the things that have to do w/ planning a wedding.

i actually did a paper on the quinceanera as a rite of passage for one of my anthro classes...one of the books i read said that a cuban family spent $150K on their daughter's event and flew her into the hotel on a helicopter...CRAZY.

The one thing I will never understand is all the padrinos for quinceaneras now-a-days. Like you said hasta ya ay padrinos de calzones. But you gotta love them. Another occasion for the entire family to feel more alive!

if i could do it over, i would insist on not having it. it was a nightmare. i spilled soda on my dress and someone forgot the casette with the timed music at home for the waltz. but i am an only daughter and my father seemed really bent on having it.
