how you feel about that?

Geo
I know what you mean. I haven't gone to church in ages because of issues with clergy. Yesterday, I had to go to the catholic center to meet someone and I felt something pretty powerful. I almost got my forehead ashed, but felt odd doing so b/c of said issues. In anycase, I didn't eat meat yesterday and am planning not to until its over.

wow this diary is kick ass. it's just like everything that i should be but am totally not. i love ash wednesday and am one of those bad sometimes catholics, i feel like catholicism has become almost judaic in that you are born into it and it's part of your culture wether you like it or not so wether you believe or not you do learn to enjoy and an~orar the traditions. really awesome diary i have added it to my favorites and will read often.

i'm actually NOT giving something up, but doing something spiritually fulfilling which I haven't done since Christmas - go to Church every Sunday. I remember one Easter my parish priest at home said that it's not about what you give up for Lent, it's what you do to improve yourself as a person in the eyes of God.

I know that Lent isn't about giving something up, but sometimes I think abstaining from something might help me become a better person and strengthen my relationship with God. I still haven't figure it out yet... time is running out.

Yeah, come on, what are you giving up? It's already Friday. I was gonna give up crack and then sex, but god told me giving up blogging would be more spirtually fulfilling so there you go. I like that picture. But where'd your nose go?

Oso, I gave up my sense of smell for Lent. That's where my nose went.
