In my teens I had quite a few friends who ended up in CYA (Camarillo). These were good hearted kids, sweet-sweet kids, but they were just screwing up and had little guidance or direction. You know where most all of them are now? I'm sure you can imagine: Pelican Bay, Folsom, dead, and/or on the street. Your entry made me sad just thinking what a tragedy it is that we have on our hands. And as far as the cages go that picture made my stomach turn. (Shudder!)
