I suggest turning in the one on Alcoholism simply because that most likely contains a lot of raw emotion in it and isn't just a paper you were required to do because it now encompasses personal experiences. So, they might like seeing that side o you. That's my suggestion.

i am torn but i feel that i think the alcolism is good because not only is it personal but it is important to acknowledge a disease that affects our comunity. I also like the lyrical drive by one too.good luck i am also doing a writting sample but its a memo to an attorney. Trust me attorney related work is not what it is cracked up to be.

the alcoholism paper. grad schools select based on the people that will be joining the department. define who you are and how you think, as well as the quality of work you'll bring. Good Luck! (I would love to go to Teachers or NYU too!)
