Yes, indeed that does sound like the sort of thing that would make someone uncomfortable. It also sounds deliberate, and of course, petty. I always say that the worst thing you could do to me is to leave me out. Like you said, it doesn't matter whether I want to go or not, but don't take the option away from me all together.
