You know this argument was actually used in court? Ever seen the film Zoot Suit starring the quintessential Chicano actor, Edward James Olmos? If you have, or you�ve read the play by Luis Valdez, you would know that during the Sleepy Lagoon Trial the Los Angeles District Attorney�s office argued that the Chicano teens on trial had a certain thirst for blood. It goes back to the days before the Spanish invaded and �civilized� the �savage� natives.

I bet you�ve heard about the thousands of prisoners of war and slaves the Mexica (or Aztec) priests and priestesses sacrificed up to the many deities. This isn�t factual and highly disputed. The point is we have an inherently violent nature. We�re naturally mean people according to people like Webb. Yeah� its wonderful how �objective� historians can be.

Addendum: I checked out the Scratched Filters show that some of Yo�s pieces were in last night. Danny and I showed up to the gallery in Whittier at the same time. My parents had already left, but Yo was still there for the artists� reception. I bought a piece, but not one of hers because the ones I liked the most had already been sold. She had Caution in there, as well as Little Wedding Girl. I�m so proud of my little sister shutterbug.
