07.29.04 // 2:04 a.m.
You would think that since I have very little to do all day and night, I'd be adding a lot more here. Not really. I haven't been terribly busy, but have been trying to enjoy the "in between job and school" life.
The last few days on vacation:
- Friday: I saw Maria Full of Grace with my mom and dad. It's a great film, you should go see it too.
- Saturday: Drove all the way over to Long Beach for my cousin Frank's graduation/house warming party. They had great BBQ chicken. Yum. It still amazes me that I know so little about that area of Southern California. I also returned to my apartment, because I tend to miss the place after a few days.
- Sunday: I spent most of day at Newport Beach with my cousins Nancy, Vanny and Valerie and their parents Pancho y Martha. I played in the water with the cousins and relaxed in the son. I came back a little bit darker, sand in places it doesn't belong, and awe at the fact that there are tanning salons 5 minutes away from the beach.
- Monday: I had cheesecake in Pasadena with Chris, Lamont and my girlpants sister Lori. We also watched the "I need a Jew" Family Guy episode.
- Tuesday: I accompanied Isa to a Jem concert with lots of funny dancing white people.
- Wednesday: I watched Spiderman (I saw the second one with Eligio about a week ago without seeing the first one), Love Actually, Empire Records, and The Whole Ten Yards. I bought the one month membership at Blockbuster, so I'm trying to make the most of it. Any rental suggestions? I also slept until 1 in the afternoon and made a yummy tuna melt sandwich. I'm much more of a bum when I'm at my apartment.
In other news, I've been keeping tabs on what's going on at the DNC. If I get time later in the week, I'll write something about my experience in August of 2000 when I attended a demonstrations throughout the week Los Angeles and the Staples Center hosted the DNC. Ome and I agreed, we were kinda crazy back then.
